German Films Screenings in Beijing
Next Screening
We’d like to cordially invite you to our next German Films Screening at the German Embassy School Beijing on Thursday, May 26, at 7.30pm. We will show Phantom Pain from director Matthias Emcke. Films are shown in German with English subtitles.
If you like to attend the screening, you will need to bring the invitation (which you can download here or by clicking on above poster) plus some form of photo ID to the screening as the school is in an embassy area. We will provide you with a membership card in the auditorium to facilitate your entry at future screenings.

General Information
The German Films Screenings in Beijing is a monthly initiative organized by German Films and the German Embassy School Beijing. It aims to promote German films to Chinese and German film enthusiasts, as well as to Chinese film and TV acquisition professionals, in an otherwise very restrictive environment. The initiative has been very well received, as it is usually very difficult to show films on a big screen in China.
Since the German Films Screenings launched in November 2008 they have become an integral part of Sino-German cultural life in Beijing. Earlier screenings of Rabbit Without Ears by director Til Schweiger, And Along Come Tourists from Robert Thalheim, Nothing But Ghosts from Martin Gypkens, Melodies of Spring from Martin Walz and The Lives of Others from Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck aired to full auditoriums.
