China’s popular matchmaking show You Are The One (Feicheng Wurao) on July 16 held a live registration event in New York. The event, co-sponsored by Jiangsu Satellite TV, SinoVision Inc, and sinovision.net, attracted over a thousand people to make on-the-spot registration, most of them of Chinese origin. It is learned that the last live registration event will be held at Harvard University on July 23.

According to the latest statistics released on July 25 by MIIT, by the end of Q2 2011, China had a total of 920 million mobile phone users, with the number of 3G users surpassing 80 million. In addition, broadband internet users amounted to 140 million.

Latest statistics released by iResearch show that by the end of Q2 2011, the market scale of China’s mobile internet industry reached RMB7.8 billion (US$1.21 billion), increasing by 94% y-o-y.
Also released by iResearch, the market scale of the mobile e-commerce industry hit RMB2.17 billion (US$336 million), rising by 404.4% y-o-y. In addition, the market scale of the mobile ad industry amounted to RMB740 million (US$115 million)
