CHINA INBOUND:

The International Pavilion at Shanghai TV Festival

For the fifth year running, the CMM-I organized International Pavilion was held June 7-11, 2010, at the 16th Shanghai TV Festival (STVF), China's premier international television industry event. With ten international players participating at this year's event, CMM-I's International Pavilion was once again the largest foreign umbrella stand providing one-stop service for all international participants.

Participants at the 2010 event were: Alfred Haber Distribution, Deutsche Welle, ITV Studios Global Entertainment, Eurodata TV Worldwide, Filmfee GmbH, German Films, NPO/RNW Sales, SevenOne International, Telemundo International and TV Azteca.

"ITV has been working closely with CMM-I at the Shanghai TV Festival for several years now. Our participation as part of the International Pavilion has always been very important to our business in China, both in terms of publicity as well as actual revenues generated." James Ross, Regional Director, ITV Global Entertainment

"The International Pavilion provides a perfect one-stop service. Meetings are set up for you as well as a number of special events bringing buyers and sellers together. I highly recommend it!" Margaret Stanneveld, Sales Executive, Netherlands Public Broadcasting NPO / RNW Sales

"Thanks to the great work of CMM-I, Filmfee was able to realize several productions in China. Getting into the Chinese market and finding your way around in its culture and political system is tough. A trustful partner and consultant is therefore a must. CMM-I is the gate to our business in China." Georg Prokop, Founder and Managing Director, Filmfee GmbH

"We will attend next year's International Pavilion again, since our attendance in the past has really been a great success!" Yan He, Sales Manager, SevenOne International

Previous pavilions' participants include CBS, BBC, RAI, RCTV, Television Polska, Telepool, Endemol, Sesame Street, and many more.

For many of these companies, it was their first time to the market, while others are long-time repeat attendees.

On behalf of many participants, CMM-I refers to its exlusive network of contacts throughout China's media industries to arrange meetings with key Chinese TV buyers and media executives. This allows participants to focus their sales efforts towards the key players in the Chinese market.

From the Chinese side, the International Pavilion gives local firms the opportunity to meet with international media companies for three days at one place.

We look forward to meeting you at next years' STVF!
